Financial Privacy Notice

Last updated October 15, 2026

This is Lodestar Wealth’s financial privacy notice, written in the federal model privacy form used by banks, brokerages, and other financial companies. It sits alongside — and does not replace — our full Privacy Policy, which covers everything this form does not, including your rights under California and other state privacy laws.

Why We Publish This

We publish this notice because we handle financial account information and we want the disclosure to be clear, whether or not it is required of us. Publishing it is not an admission, a concession, or a determination that Lodestar Wealth is a “financial institution” under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act or any other law, and it does not change what Lodestar is: education and tools, not advice.

FACTSWhat Does Lodestar Wealth Do With Your Personal Information?

Rev. 08/2026
Why?

Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.

What?

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

  • your email address and the display name you choose;
  • your income, employment, occupation, household, and the goals you write in your own words;
  • account balances, holdings, individual transactions, interest rates, credit limits, and loan and mortgage details — whether you type them in, upload a statement, or connect a bank;
  • your subscription, trial, and referral records; and
  • your IP address, browser, and the pages and product events your use of the app generates.

We never receive or hold your bank username or password. Plaid handles the login; we store only an encrypted token that lets us read the account data you connected, and we do not store your bank account numbers.

When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your information as described in this notice — in practice that is limited to the narrow records listed in section 5 of our Privacy Policy.

How?

All financial companies need to share customers’ personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their customers’ personal information; the reasons Lodestar Wealth chooses to share; and whether you can limit this sharing.

Reasons we can share your personal information, whether Lodestar shares for each reason, and whether you can limit that sharing

They are listed by name in section 4 of our Privacy Policy. Federal law does not let you turn that sharing off, but you can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time from the link in those emails or from the Profile page.

Who We Are

Who is providing this notice?

Lodestar Wealth, LLC, organized in Pennsylvania, operating LodestarWealth.io and its related applications under the name Lodestar Wealth.

What We Do

How does Lodestar Wealth protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files. In practice that means encryption in transit (TLS), AES-256-GCM encryption of bank access tokens at rest, row-level access controls on every user table, least-privilege access to production, and a required second authentication factor before you can connect a bank.

Two habits do more than any of that: we discard the raw statement file as soon as it is parsed, and we never hold your bank credentials at all.

How does Lodestar Wealth collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • create an account or sign in with Google;
  • enter your income, balances, debts, goals, and profile details;
  • upload a statement for us to parse;
  • connect a bank or brokerage account through Plaid;
  • subscribe to Command, start a trial, or use a referral code; or
  • write to us, leave feedback on a result, or ask a question in chat.

We also collect your personal information from others — the banks and brokerages you choose to connect, through Plaid, and our payment processor when it confirms a subscription.

Why can't I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes — information about your creditworthiness;
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you; and
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you.

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. We do not share your information in any of those three ways, so there is nothing here for you to turn off.

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Lodestar Wealth has no affiliates.

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Lodestar Wealth does not share your personal information with nonaffiliates so they can market to you. The service providers we use to run the Service are nonaffiliates, and they may only process your information on our behalf, under contract, for the everyday business purposes in the table above.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. Lodestar Wealth doesn’t jointly market.

Other Important Information

We don't sell your data

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We run no advertising pixels or ad-network tags of any kind.

State residents

Some states — California and Vermont among them — require a financial company to get your permission before sharing certain information with nonaffiliates, or to honor an opt-out. Because we share nothing that those rules cover, no additional opt-out applies to you here. Your broader state privacy rights, including the right to know, delete, correct, and appeal, are set out in section 7 of our Privacy Policy.

Changes

If what we do with your information changes, we will update this notice and the “Last updated” date above, and give you additional notice where required.
